Wednesday, Selena and newly restored Sal Mineo-starring, homoneurotic 60s sleaze Who Killed Teddy Bear? are at the Drafthouse, BAMPFA welcomes curator Allyson Unzicker to present her series, Media and Migration on Screen, beginning with a selection of short films, and continuing in the evening with Pinar Öğrenci presenting her documenta 15 installation, The Avalanche, Misericordia and the new Princess Mononoke restoration continue at the Roxie, Gimme Shelter (on 16mm) is at the Balboa, and Fried Green Tomatoes is at the Vogue.
Thursday, the 68th SFFILM Festival returns—see our reviews of a few festival picks below—kicking off with the Josh O'Connor-starring Rebuilding and continuing through next weekend, this month's Roxie staff pick is Superbad, Werner Herzog's latest, Theater of Thought, is at the Smith Rafael followed by a conversation about neurotechnology, the Orinda theater has a free screening of Casablanca, and the Stanford's final week of their Three Great Directors calendar starts with an Ernst Lubitsch double feature of The Love Parade and Monte Carlo (both on 35mm, repeating Friday).

Saturday, Russ Meyer's SuperVIXENS is at the Orinda, the Roxie has a weekend-long Lou Ye program with Summer Palace and Spring Fever up first, Monty Python's Life of Brian is at the Drafthouse, the Stanford wraps up its current calendar with a Rouben Mamoulien double feature featuring Greta Garbo at her most flagrantly bisexual and one of the most famous special effects transitions in cinema history, respectively, with Queen Christina and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (both on 35mm, repeating Sunday), It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!
