Monday, the Roxie screens Little Shop of Horrors (on 16mm), Sally Gearhart doc SALLY! with filmmaker Deborah Craig and others in person, and then David Cronenberg's new film, The Shrouds, with Cronenberg himself in person (at rush, though the Roxie has confirmed some tickets will be held for Monday), SFFILM continues in the Marina and Berkeley, including Alexandre O. Philippe in person to present his Texas Chainsaw Massacre doc, followed by a screening of TCM itself, as part of a classic horror film series, Pride & Prejudice (through Wednesday) and Juliet of the Spirits are at the Alamo Drafthouse New Mission, Sinners (on 70mm) continues at the Grand Lake (and on 70mm IMAX at the Metreon), and Demolition Man is at the Balboa.

Tuesday, Critters 2: The Main Course is at the Drafthouse and Five Easy Pieces is at the Balboa.

Wednesday, What's Up, Doc? (on 35mm) and Death Game at the Drafthouse, our beloved Roxie Theater receives this year's Mel Novikoff Award at the SFFILM festival and celebrates with a screening of Rashomon, The Exterminating Angel is at the Balboa, Black Orpheus (repeats Thursday) at the Vogue, and The Basement presents Troll 2 on VHS at the 4 Star.

Thursday, SF Cinematheque presents Matter/Anti-Matter: Recent Work by Makino Takashi at the Lab, Love & Pop and Princess Mononoke (repeats Saturday) are at the Roxie, Tommy Boy is at Drafthouse, Yellow Submarine at the New Parkway, Primer is at the Balboa, and SFFILM presents Nine Months (on 35mm) at the Premiere Theater.

Friday, at BAMPFA, SFFILM gives the Persistence of Vision award to Sky Hopinka, who will be in person for a screening of his film, maɬni—towards the ocean, towards the shore (and keep an eye out for our interview with Hopinka in a special bonus newsletter from us later this week), lesbian pop musical satire Queens of Drama opens at Drafthouse, Viet and Nam opens at the Roxie, Blue Velvet (on 35mm) and Sorcerer are at the Balboa, and the Stanford kicks off a month-long Audrey Hepburn series with a double feature of Roman Holiday and Sabrina (both on 35mm, both repeating through Sunday).

Saturday, Compensation is at the Roxie with director Zeinabu irene Davis, screenwriter Marc Chery, and actor Christopher Smith in person for a Q&A moderated by Cheryl Fabio, The Cartoons of Max Fleischer are at Drafthouse, Thief and Miracle Mile at the Balboa, Up (repeats Sunday) and a Jet Li triple feature of The One, Unleashed, and Hero at the 4 Star, SFFILM presents Rent (on 35mm) at the Premier Theater, and the Niles Essanay Silent FIlm Museum screens early Gary Cooper silent Nevada (on 16mm), with William Powell and Thelma Todd.

Sunday, A Knight's Tale is at the New Parkway, Tank Girl (on 35mm) and the Anais Nin Diary Film Festival are at the Roxie, and  Risky Business and Legend are at the Balboa.
