Monday, the Roxie presents last week's featuretwo films by Sophie Letourneur, and you can also still catch Eno (different every day!) and a 35mm screening of Longlegs (both continuing during the week); Beverly Hills Cop and Blood Simple (both repeating Tuesday and Wednesday) are at the Drafthouse New Mission, Kiki's Delivery Service and Nights of Cabiria at the Lark, Bill Cunningham New York is at the Balboa, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers  (repeats Wendesday) at the Presidio, and Ellie Vanderlip presents new work alongside a live, improvised score at the 4 Star. TuesdayThings (1989) is at the Drafthouse, Inception at the Balboa, The Bridge on the River Kwai (repeats Thursday) at the Presidio, a matinee of The Bad and the Beautiful at the Orinda, the Mission's VHS archivists, Basement, present a mystery horror movie at the 4 Star, the Jewish Film Festival moves east to the Piedmont theater for encore screenings all week long, and at the Roxie, you've got another entry in the scandalous Wild, Weird, Wicked: Films From Before the Code series with Island of Lost Souls, plus Secretary, co-hosted by author Ingrid Rojas Contreras and ZYZZYVA Editor Oscar Villalon, introduced by author R. O. Kwon. Wednesday, Ozploitation classic Long Weekend is at the Drafthouse, BAMPFA's Hiroshi Shimizu series continues with A Hero of Tokyo (on 35mm), The Vourdalak is at the Roxie, Breathless at the Balboa, Strait-Jacket (repeats Thursday) at the Vogue, V for Vendetta at the New Parkway, and our featured screening this week, Raising Arizona, is at the 4 Star with author Zach Schonfeld in person to talk about his new book on Nic Cage. Thursday, this month's staff pick at the Roxie is Jonathan Demme's Melvin and Howard (on 35mm), A Fistful of Dollars is at BAMPFA, the Drunken Film Fest folks present Crumb at the Balboa, The Princess Diaries (repeats Saturday) at the 4 Star, and the first double feature of the week in the Stanford's Minnelli series is Kismet and The Cobweb (repeating Friday).
