The air becomes threatening in myriad ways in this series: harboring monsters, carrying disease, whisking away cows. Sometimes in the form of a glowing sky, sometimes in a haze, or maybe invisible, causing people to frantically take shelter, though some prefer to step towards danger, while others opt for a shopping spree.
