BIPOC Doc Editors on the Big Screen

Series Site

A dazzling program of nine feature documentaries and three shorts, BIPOC Doc Editors on the Big Screen shines a spotlight on BIPOC talent and the storytellers of non-fiction cinema: documentary editors. It's all too rare for a screening series to focus on editors, and this program celebrates the work of BIPOC creatives in the edit room spanning decades, from classics like 1983’s Style Wars to the recent Sundance hit Free Chol Soo Lee. Each screening in the series is followed by a Q&A with the film’s editor to discuss their craft.

Co-Presented by DCTV and BIPOC Doc Editors, a public database and initiative with the mission to make the documentary community more inclusive.
