Crime and Justice Pioneer: A Joe Berlinger Retrospective

Series Site

Joe Berlinger is one of the leading storytellers of his generation, drawing attention to social issues in such landmark films such as: Brother's Keeper, the Paradise Lost trilogy and Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (all co-directed with Bruce Sinofsky). In 2019, Berlinger broke new ground for himself by covering the same subject in scripted and unscripted forms simultaneously with Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, which starred Zac Efron as Bundy. His latest series, Conversations with a Killer: the John Wayne Gacy Tapes debuted at #1 on Netflix in April. This retrospective will include screenings of some of Berlinger's best films, several live Q&As, and a selection of great movies that influenced Berlinger as a documentarian and cinematic storyteller.
