Magnolia Pictures at 20

Series Site

"Founded in 2001, and celebrating its 20th anniversary this fall, Magnolia Pictures has become an indispensable mainstay on the American independent film scene. From humble beginnings, Magnolia now has a library of over 500 titles and has supported some of the most significant (and, more importantly, interesting) films of this century. Our selection of titles in this program reflects the diversity of their output, from genre fare like Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior to “of the moment” documentaries like Jesus Camp and John Lewis: Good Trouble and acclaimed international features like Melancholia and Shoplifters. For two decades, Magnolia has proven their commitment to the vitality of both exceptional American independent and international cinema. A true hybrid series, we are pleased to present this program both in our theaters and on our Virtual Cinema." —MoMA
