Friday, the Smith Rafael and Berkeley Film Foundation kick off a weekend-long Saul Zaentz Film Series, beginning with a screening of The English Patient, Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus is at BAMPFA, who continue their Sergei Parajanov Centennial series with Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors, Andrea Arnold's latest, Bird, opens at the Roxie, The Faculty is at the Balboa, the Golden Gate Armenian Film Festival takes over the Vogue and continues through Sunday, and the Odyssey Film Institute continues their Talkie Fridays series at the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum with Francis Ford Coppola's Dementia 13.
