Tuesday, classic dutch thriller The Vanishing is this week's Terror Tuesday pick at Alamo Drafthouse New Mission, Anora (on 35mm) and Mars Volta/At the Drive-In doc Omar and Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird (repeats Wednesday) continue and La Cocina ends its run at the Roxie, and Exit Through the Gift Shop is at the Balboa.

Friday, the final iteration of The French Had a Name For It, Don Malcolm's long-running, beloved series of deep cut French noir, begins at the Roxie with a look at director Erich von Stroheim's French acting career in a double feature of The Dance of Death and The World Will Shake, Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus and Le samouraï are at BAMPFA, Foxy Brown is at the Drafthouse, Nails from the Crypt presents Drop Dead Gorgeous at the New Parkway, the Stanford continues its four-a-day showtimes of The Wizard of Oz (on 35mm, of course) all weekend, the 4 Star's Wes Anderson-athon continues with Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rushmore, and The Life Aquatic (all four repeating through the weekend), and Odyssey Film Institute presents Back to the Future 2 (on 35mm) at the Balboa.
Saturday, the Balboa presents a San Francisco noir double feature with Dark Passage and, our feature this week, The Lady from Shanghai (both repeating Sunday), Finnish heavy metal comedy follow-up Heavier Trip (repeats Sunday) is at the Drafthouse, BAMPFA has a family matinee of The Wizard of Oz and the end of their Jia Zhangke series, Mountains May Depart, the Roxie screens Fantastic Mr. Fox and The French Had a Name For It continues with five films spread over a double and a triple feature, the Lark screens Finding Nemo (repeats Sunday), and the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum presents Alfred Hitchcock's Blackmail (on 16mm).
